Generative AI Policy

AMMR recognizes the growing use of generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools, including large language models, in research and writing. The journal permits responsible use under the following conditions:

  • Generative AI tools cannot be listed as authors, because authorship carries accountability that an AI cannot assume.
  • Any use of generative AI in preparing a manuscript — including text, code, data analysis, or figures — must be disclosed in the Methods or Acknowledgments section, naming the tool and how it was used.
  • Authors bear full responsibility for the accuracy, integrity, and originality of the entire manuscript, including any AI-assisted portions.
  • Generative AI must not be used to fabricate or falsify data, results, or references.

To protect confidentiality, reviewers and editors must not upload any part of a submitted manuscript into public generative-AI tools.
